Houston - New Life Tabernacle COGIC (Pastor Carl A. Davis)

  • Committed $10,000.00 to the Katrina Relief Efforts

  • Members donated both time and money to maintain this ongoing endeavor

  • Provided hot meals, clothes, toiletries, bedding, school supplies, housing, ministry and love to all persons that contact or visit the New Life Tabernacle Service Center

  • Received additional assistance from other ministries across the country (California, Illinois and New Mexico) to mention a few. We have partnered together to meet the immediate needs of our family and friends now residing in the Houston area.

Jasper - Lighthouse COGIC (Supt. Walter G. Diggles, Sr., pastor)

  • Sheltered hundreds of evacuees during Hurricane Katrina

  • Hosted over 1,000 evacuees after Hurricane devastated Louisiana in Mississippi

  • Sheltered, housed, and feed evacuees

  • Created a water distribution ministry

  • Provided counseling and gas vouchers to needy families

  • Pastor served as the Executive Director of the Emergency Operations Center for the entire county.

Lubbock - Agape Temple COGIC (Bishop William H. Watson)

  • Contributed over $6,000 to COGIC Charities Hurricane Relief Fund

  • Currently housing and counseling over 1,000 hurricane evacuees

Primary Purpose Ministries - (Evangelist Joyce Rogers)

  • Contributed over 5,000 to hurricane relief efforts

Bishop Arthur Ladell Thomas Sr.

  • Caring for various church families effected by the hurricane

  • Supplying food and clothing for victims
